Foxton Apple Tree

The following is information sent to us from Rob Croft, Heritage Seed Library, from a website he found (UKOnLine):

Foxton's Pride

A small cooking apple, a few trees of which are found in the Leicestershire village of Foxton, of lock fame. The tree is said to propogate easily from cuttings: quite unusual for an apple. At the time of writing, however, we have been unable to locate any of the trees. Also known as "Foxton's Favourite".

Foxton's Delight

We have found one reference from the 1990s to this apple, describing it as a dessert variety, medium sized and crisp. No known trees at time of writing.

Foxton's Red Margaret

Another apple from Foxton: no known trees at time of writing.

If you have any information about these apple trees, please let us know!
